Para-Badminton is a variant of badminton for athletes with a range of physical disabilities and is globally governed by Badminton World Federation (BWF) which was established in the year 2011. Like badminton, para-badminton is played on a rectangular court separated by a net with a shuttle. The aim of para-badminton is to, using a racquet, pass the shuttle from one side of the net to the opposing team on the other attempting to force an error in the opposition thus winning a point. Wherein the players compete in singles (men/women), doubles (men/women) and mixed doubles.
Badminton requires a complex level of skill and strategy, with agility, reaction times, endurance, spatial awareness and strength are among the many attributes required to compete the game. The sport not only build up the physical competency of a player but also escalates his/her mental health.
